Als je je wat langer bezig houdt met Art Nouveau / Jugendstil kan het je niet ontgaan dat er in die tijd een grote gerichtheid was op het Sint Joris en -vooral- de draak thema. Van Scandinavië (waar het letterlijk Drakarstil heette) tot Spanje overal steeds weer die draken. Utrecht vormt daar geen uitzondering op!
