Especially two expensive kinds of wood were applied; Coromandle en teak, sometimes in a very specific way. The frontside of a door then, is coromandle and the backside teak, related to the interior of that specific room.
Remarkable, for that time, is the presence of electrical tools; electric fireplaces, clocks, lamps, elevator, ventilators, streaming hot water, vacuum cleaners, it was all already in use, while most of the contemporaries still were struggling with smoking oil lamps.
