The difference between Brussels and Antwerp is that in Antwerp the decoration of the facades strongly is expressed. The backsides of the houses are on the contrary quite normal and the interiors were traditional. Nothing about; light, room, fresh air, harmonic forms to live in and other idealistic ideas of those times
.
But the houses are beautiful! And sometimes even a little bit over the top
.
See for your self.
Most of the pictures were taken around the Cogels-Osylei at the Zurenborg, district.
The house with the boat you can find in the neighbourhood of the Museum of Beaux Arts.
